Well, version 2.8 fixes over 790 bugs. The reason I like WP is that it’s a easy blog platform to use, config, mantain and also update. I don’t have to find the pluginpage, download the zipped plugin, unzip it, upload it to the plugin folder. Just click one link and that’s it. To update the core it self is a couple of clicks more. A database upgrade is required, but that’s easy. WP handles it all. Afterwards you have to login again for a reason I don’t know.
The plugin section has changed from two section with enabled and disabled plugins to all plugins in one list. Did not like the grey color on the deactivated ones, but I can tweak that in “wp-admin.css” I think. See the screenshot of the new layout below.

Below is the old layout of the enabled plugins in WP 2.7.1. I like it better. Must be because of the green color. I think I’m going to tweak the “wp-admin.css” to show that color of the enabled plugins and a soft blue one on the disabled plugins.

Also the widget section has been improved with another type of handling the addition of widgets to the sidebars. It has become more streamlined and faster to use. But, it looks so boring with all the grey. Just look at the screenshot below.

I have to fix the CSS-tweaks again (mentioned in the 3 last blogentries), but that just a minor thing.
Plugins is working great (still!). No problems there. Just don’t activate to many. I got some errors trying to activate too many. Don’t know why. I guess it going to be fixed in 2.8.1. I certainly hope so.
